  1. BRAINSTORMING SESSION TO GENERATE IDEAS WITH RESPONSIBILITY CENTRE DIRECTORS

    o Program Objectives:

  • Provide a preliminary overview of the UMP Strategic Plan 2016-2020 preparation themed "Generating Glory".
  • Obtain feedback and initial insights on the theme of "Generating Glory" in interpreting the definition of glory.
  • Ensure that the UMP Strategic Plan 2016-2020 is aligned with the Malaysia Education Development Plan 2015-2025 (Higher Education) or Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia 2015-2025 (Pendidikan Tinggi), the 1Malaysia Idea, Government Transformation Program (GTP), National Key Result Areas (NKRAs), Ministerial Key Result Areas (MKRAs) and the 11th Malaysia Plan.
  1. PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS BRIEFING BY THE VICE-CHANCELLOR

  • Give comprehensive review based on “glory” framework involving six glorious aspirations.
  • Present the planning process and implementation of the UMP Strategic Plan 2016-2020 based on the "Blue Ocean Strategy" methodology.
  • Present the involvement of the troopers and supervisors who will be involved in the formation process through workshops and fieldwork.
  1. UMP STRATEGIC PLAN 2016-2020 PREPARATION WORKSHOP (CREATING GLORY) SERIES 1

    o Date:                        21 - 22 October 201

    o Venue:                      MS Garden Hotel, Kuantan

    o No. of Participants: 64

    o Workshop Objectives:

  • Provide a preparatory team to produce the UMP Strategic Plan 2016-2020 (Generating Glory) through the "Blue Ocean Strategy" methodology.
  • Provide exposure on the overall concept and also rationalisation of the approaches through the "Blue Ocean Strategy"
  • Generate ‘pains bank’ based on the strategic core.
  1. UMP STRATEGIC PLAN 2016-2020 PREPARATORY WORKSHOP (GENERATING GLORY) SERIES 2

    o Workshop Objectives:

  • Explain specifically the "Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS)" methodology.
  • Develop 'ERRC Strategic Move' for field work preparation based on the results from the ‘pains bank’ involving customers & non-customers.
  1. UMP STRATEGIC PLAN 2016-2020 FIELD WORK GROUP PRESENTATION SESSION

    o Workshop Objectives:

  • Present findings from the field work conducted according to each glory group.
  • Make improvements on the draft of the report to be presented to the UMP Strategic Plan 2016-2020 formation workshop.
  1. UMP STRATEGIC PLAN 2016-2020 FIELD WORK GROUP PRESENTATION SESSION (FINAL REPORT)

    o Workshop Objectives:

  • Present the final findings based on the field study conducted according to each glory group.
  • Make improvements on the field work reports to be presented to the UMP Strategic Plan 2016-2020 formation workshop with Responsibility Centre Heads
  1. UMP STRATEGIC PLAN 2016-2020 FORMULATION WORKSHOP WITH RESPONSIBILITY CENTRE HEADS

    o Workshop Objectives:

  • Present results of the field work for further discussion and improvement.
  • Produce draft for key performance indicator (KPI) for each 'ERRC Strategic Move'.
  • Refine the UMP strategic plan based on strategic alignment with the Malaysia Education Development Plan 2015-2025 (Higher Education)/ Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia 2015-2025 (Pendidikan Tinggi).
  1. UMP STRATEGIC PLAN KRA 2016-2020 REFINING WORKSHOP

    o Workshop Objectives:

  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) based on the strategic core agreed upon according to each group.
  • Develop glossary for all the KPIs stated.
  • Receive feedback and views based on the presentation.
  1. UMP STRATEGIC PLAN 2016-2020 KPI DRAFT FORMULATION WORKSHOP

    o Workshop Objectives:

  • Rename terms of university’s key result areas, vision, mission and strategic objectives.
  • Redefine each Strategic Leap and Key Performance Indicator (KPI)
  • Create a slogan that enables UMP’s identity to be easily recognised by the community.
  • Set target for each KPI stated.
  1. UMP STRATEGIC PLAN 2016-2020 FORMULATION WORKSHOP WITH UNIVERSITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS (BOD)/ LEMBAGA PENGARAH UNIVERSITI (LPU)

    o Workshop Objectives:

  • Refine the UMP Strategic Plan 2016-2020 framework based on the following:
  1. The renaming of the Vision, Mission, and Objectives
  2. Introduction to Slogan
  3. Strategic Leaps and Glossary
  4. Key Performance Indicators and Glossary
  5. Cumulative Goals for 5 years
  • Finalize the Strategic Plan based on feedback and views given.
